About Terra Search Promise
Terra Search Promise is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the first service-disabled veteran–owned organization in the U.S. dedicated exclusively to POW/MIA research, recovery, and repatriation.
Founded with a mission to keep America’s promise of “never forget,” Terra Search combines veteran leadership, scientific rigor, and humanitarian purpose to locate missing U.S. service members and bring them home.
What They Do
Conduct global research, analysis, and field recovery operations in partnership with government agencies and other stakeholders. Provide training, logistical support, and expertise in archaeology, anthropology, forensics, and evidence handling. Engage veterans and civilian volunteers in meaningful service – from historical research to hands-on mission roles.
Why It Matters
Thousands of U.S. service members remain unaccounted for. Many are considered recoverable under Department of Defense estimates. Team Rubicon+1 For the families and the nation, the work of Terra Search is more than forensic—it’s a promise to honor and bring closure.
Since its inception in 2020, Terra Search has already participated in several recovery missions and collaborates with defense and veteran organizations to maximize impact.
